Gordon Smith garden Design ticked every box in the Very Good category. He and his team arrived every day on time, whatever the weather. They were polite and worked hard, always keeping you abreast of developments.

The plans to transform our front and back gardens were no simple tasks. Not only did we have land sloping away from top to bottom, but also from left to right. This was no straight forward paving job.

Despite the fact that it was bucketing with rain, he coped with endless deliveries of materials from tons of top soil, sand, cement and slabs to the arrival of 9 mature trees keeping his sense of humour and approachable manner.

After just one day you could see the plans take shape, and by the end of the first week passers by were stopping to admire the transformation. Several weeks have now passed since completion, and we have been overwhelmed by the number of positive comments and notes of admiration. We have to acknowledge Gordon Smith Garden Design.

Our Landscape Architect produced a stunning design solution to enhance the setting of our late Victorian villa within its garden. We needed a capable, skilled and reliable landscaper to turn the plan into reality – Gordon Smith proved to be the perfect answer.

Following a comprehensive consultation which included a thorough site survey, Gordon produced a detailed quote with a fixed start date. The team, equipment and materials turned up promptly on the date agreed, and work started immediately. Under Gordon’s scrupulous supervision the project moved forward smoothly and without interruption, whatever the weather. His men proved capable, hard working, polite and careful. The quality of the end product speaks volumes of their skill and attention to detail.

The plans were not simple, and there were several complex challenges to deal with, including sloping ground and curving lines to the driveway. Gordon proved adept at finding solutions to these issues, and adaptable in his approach to any problems which arose. He was careful to keep us up to date with progress and consulted regularly to ensure we got what we wanted.

Gordon and his team remained continuously on site until the project was complete, and brought it in on budget. He is unreservedly and most strongly commended to anyone considering a garden landscaping project.
